About

5:14 is a way of seeing and living in the world, and a way of understanding what God has for us here on earth. 5:14 is a verse in Galatians that reads, in part, “love you neighbor as yourself.” To know God is a journey and we desire for our story to be marked by this simple truth − God has placed his love inside of us and it is his intent for us to share that love with others. Therefore, it is our desire to walk with Jesus in such a way that we live out his character in every aspect of lives, seen or unseen. Our community seeks to explore ways to grow in simplicity, give sacrificially, and love genuinely.

Leadership

Jimmy Renslow - Pastor

Jimmy has spent most of his adult life as a youth pastor, and brings energy and excitement to our church in his role as pastor.

Jack Kody - Elder

Jack is a gifted teacher and spends much of the year traveling and ministering to Latin America about the Father's love for them.

Mike Schultz - Elder

Mike works for VALIC, a financial services firm, where he manages forty-two financial advisors. He brings his unique gifts in the areas of financial wisdom to our church. Unfortunately, he is hopelessly pixellated and blurry.

Vision Statement

Our community is just one part of the story of Jesus and his work in the world. We have been called to serve in a certain community, for a specific time in human history. Our aim is not to be the coolest or most hip church in our area - we are simply God's people, living his story, which began over four thousand years ago and continues today. Our beliefs are the same as Apostles' generations ago:

Doctrinal Statement

We believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth; And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord: who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; on the third day he rose from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic [universal] church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
